The show must go on. This has been the scene of the couple who already prepared everything for the wedding when a typhoon flooded the Church on the day of their vows. What would you do if you were the couple? Are you just going to postpone it? Well, nothing had stopped these lovers even if it was a typhoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Delos Angeles from Bulacan, Philippines had been longing and waiting for this moment for a very long time when the heavy rain and storm flooded the Church days before the wedding until their big event had come. Instead of postponing the ceremony, they decided to pursue it and to let the heavy blessing of rain and flood poured upon them. Nothing was really going to stop them. The bride was walking down the aisle with a smile even though it was really uneasy for her to walk barefooted on the foot – deep water. The tail of her wedding gown was soaked in the flood water but she surprisingly looks radiant and beautiful. The parents of the bride took their daughter to the altar carefully and even gave smiles while they were taken pictures by the guests. They handed over the bride to the groom who devotedly waited for his bride. The flood and the storm never succeeded from keeping them apart. So they finally got their vows and I do’s. A very unique and memorable wedding.

A wedding ceremony is essential specially to couples who value the Holy Matrimony. It is not just an event but it is a celebration of being united as one as you make your vows in front of our Dear Creator no matter what Religion or Culture you belong. Not all couples chose to believe but chose to settle in living together without sanctifying their union. But this couple really gave importance to their unity when they had their wedding ceremony even if they already have two beautiful children.

The wedding ceremony they had was not as great and perfect due to the super bad weather but the courage and perseverance they had shared were enough to prove for their immeasurable and perfect love for their family, for their partner and for the love of God. It did not matter anymore for them if they had looked terrible or extra glamorous in their wedding pictures. As long as they had their wedding ceremony, that was all that mattered.

There are really circumstances in life that would not happen according to your plans. It would test your capabilities and patience by giving you some situations you do not expect or by giving you exactly what is the opposite. It would really challenge you to surrender and just quit! But to think of all the time and effort you have exerted, are you just going to give up? As the famous quote says, “Quitters never win”. You will never succeed and you will never get what you want. So why give up now if you are almost there? There is always a light at the end of the tunnel and there is always hope as long as you live. Cheers and congratulations to this couple who never gave up just to have their unity be blessed by God despite of the circumstance they had on their wedding day.
